Carius tube

An instrument for thermal stability and pressure rate screening to search for exothermic activity and gas generation.

It consists typically in a closed glass tube containing up to 10 g of a sample, a pressure sensor, and an external thermocouple. The assembly is placed inside an oven and heated up at constant rate.
