Minimum ignition energy (MIE)

It is the lowest energy value of a high-voltage capacitor discharge required to ignite the most suitable dust/air mixture. Energy (in Joules) is calculated from the equation E = ? C U2, where C is the total capacity of the discharge circuit and U is the applied voltage.
