Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
Technique where the heat flow rate difference into a sample and a reference material is measured.
A technique in which the change of the difference in the heat flow rate to the sample and to a reference sample is measured while they are subjected to a temperature regime.
Note that in many process safety laboratories DSC and DTA are used interchangeably.
