GlossaryAdiabatic temperature riseThe increase in temperature of a reacting mixture as a result of exothermic chemical reaction, when there is no heat transfer to or from the environment. ΔT = ΔH/Cp where ΔT is the adiabatic temperature rise (K), ΔH is the heat release (J/kg) and Cp is the mean heat capacity (J/kg/K). Reference:
