Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
Computation Fluid Dynamics is a mathematical tool to solve the relevant transport equations in a defined domain. The transport equations are discretized over a mesh defining the computational domain. By this way it is possible to predict the flow field, the distribution of scalar variables (such as temperature, pressure, chemical species,?), the interaction with walls (heat flux, mass transfer, shear stress) for given boundary conditions. This information is used for Modelling, Simulation and Optimisation.
